It’s time to clean the closets, garages, basements, and the yard and to lend a hand in picking up trash around town, all done in beautifying our town.

Somehow, unwanted trash and etc. tends to accumulate during the winter months and then becomes very visible once spring awakens.

Saturday, April 25, 8-noon, is the time to bring all your unwanted trash and recyclables to the Eagle Community Clean-Up Day and deposit them in the appropriate dumpster behind the Capitol Theatre in Eagle Ranch Village.

Last year, Vail Honeywagon reported that they alone collected 220 tires, filled two 40-yard dumpsters of trash, a 15-yard dumpster of household hazard waste (paint and chemicals), and a 15-yard dumpster with electronic equipment (cell phones, computers, televisions, and more).

In addition, the Habitat Restore accepts furniture, yard equipment, construction items (windows and doors, etc.) and Vail Valley Cares takes clothing, appliances, furniture, garden items, home accessories, etc.) Allied Record Services will be on site with its shredding equipment to shred unwanted financial or legal documents.

Eagle Community Clean-Up Day is sponsored by the Eagle Ranch Association and the Town of Eagle in cooperation with the Eagle Chamber. The Vail Honeywagon, The Dusty Boot, Mountain Beverage, Vail Valley Cares Thrifty Shops, Allied Record Services and Habitat ReStore generously support the cleanup.

Join in the community spirit and create a team to clean parks, trails, walkways, and sides of roads; it’s a great venue to educate our young on the value of community involvement and for keeping our town clean. To volunteer call 970.306.2262 or email: info@eaglechamber.co

Volunteer check in/supply pick up will be held at The Dusty Boot, 8-9 a.m. on April 25; check in and enjoy coffee and donuts provided by the ‘Boot’.
