“Christmas is back in Eagle,” said Santa and the parade floats were the best in years! I talked with 162 children and I’ll never forget the child who brought a catalog of toys or the little girl who just wanted a happy Christmas.”
Christmas on Broadway’s success is due to the numerous volunteers who lend a hand in organizing, maintaining crowd control, or decorating Santa’s Workshop, just to name a few. Thanks to all our businesses who provide hearty soups, treats or gifts to the parade watchers.
A special thanks to Michelle Morgan, Alpine Self Storage, for another great year of organizing the parade and its volunteers. She said, “there were more floats this year and they were better than ever.” Michelle made a special effort to encourage more lights on the floats and her effort definitely shined.
Back in true form as parade announcers were Michelle Friedman and Holli Snyder, AlwaysMountainTime Media; what a great addition.
Grant Murphy, Vice President and Branch Manager, Alpine Bank, Eagle, chaired this year’s event and was on hand throughout the day on Saturday.
A special thanks to the Town of Eagle’s Department of Public Works and the Police Department for the role to ensure a festive and safe event for all participants. The DPW installed the town’s holiday decorations prior to Thanksgiving; the town is all dressed up for the holidays.
Police Chief Joey Staufer and his team worked closely with the event organizers to ensure a safe parade route and that all vehicles were off Broadway beginning at 3:00 p.m.
