The Eagle Chamber has teamed up with local marketing agency Allegory Studios and business owner, Mick Daly, in an effort to provide local businesses with cutting-edge opportunities for professional development.
Two “Lunch and Learn” workshop series kick off in the next few weeks — “Marketing Mastery” and “Life Skills for Success.” Classes in each series will provide practical tools to promote your business as well as help owners and employees develop the personal skills needed to achieve success.
“Helping local businesses sharpen their skills by providing them with professional development opportunities is integral to what we do,” said Taylor Slaugh, administrator for the Eagle Chamber. “We know many times it’s hard for business owners to get away and focus on growing their skill sets, but the ‘Lunch and Learn’ format makes it easier for them to find the time. Plus, for Eagle businesses, it’s convenient that the workshop take place here in Eagle.”
The Chamber kicks off Marketing Mastery next week, a series designed to cover a four-part approach to building successful marketing programs: Story, platform, content and results. Local marketing experts will lead the sessions with topics ranging from brands, websites and social media, to email marketing and Google tools.
The first class, “Branding 101,” will be presented by Cynthia Forstmann of Allegory Studios at noon on Thursday. Participants will learn how to use their own stories to build compelling brand messages and engage prospects.
The Life Skills for Success series kicks off on Oct. 3 with a class titled, “Master the Art of Goal Setting.” This series is intended to bridge the gap between education and professional experience and the real life skills needed to run a successful business.
In an introductory session last week, Daly encouraged participants to examine their fears — both those that motivate and those that inhibit action.
